While we typically think of age in years, the exact calculation must account for varying month lengths (28, 29, 30, or 31 days), leap years, and the specific dates involved. This tool performs precise date arithmetic to give you an accurate age down to the day, and can even calculate your age at any specific date in the past or future.
To calculate age, we find the difference between your date of birth and the target date (usually today). The calculation proceeds in stages: first, we determine the number of complete years by comparing the birth month and day to the target month and day. If the target month and day haven't yet occurred in the current year, we subtract one year. Then we calculate remaining months and days. This method ensures accuracy even across leap years and varying month lengths. The tool also converts your age into other units like total months, weeks, days, and hours for different perspectives on time.
